Heartopia is Cancelled.

If you’re a woman of color looking for a looking for a cozy game to play in this year of 2026, Heartopia may not be the girl for you. I come to you, as an almost Day One gwoirl who spent probably 50-100 dollars on that damn game.

Myself and most members of our core cozy community are no longer playing or streaming Heartopia. This is because of repeated issues with the game and its community management, including the use of AI tools, racist content involving a dark-skinned NPC being compared to/portrayed like a monkey, and the way concerns from Black and brown players were dismissed. The response from the creators and the banning of offended community members made it clear to me that this is not something I want to support. So I’ve chosen to step away from the game completely and will judge people who know of this issue AND choose to continue playing it with negativity.

Some of these have been deleted from the reddit thread by moderators, some from the discord by moderators, and so on and so forth but here’s the link to the reddit thread.
